Moving on. University of Montana Western point guard Aniese Palmore (shown here in a game earlier this season in Dillon) and the Lady Bulldogs overcame a slow start to overwhelm Columbia to post a first-round victory Wednesday at the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament in Billings.

The University of Montana Western women's basketball team staged a furious fourth quarter comeback on Wednesday to defeat Columbia (MO) in the opening round of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship Tournament in Billings.

Trailing third-seeded Columbia by seven points entering the final frame, the sixth-seeded Western women went on a 22-4 run to take control of a game they had not led since halfway through the first period.

Next up for the Lady Bulldogs, a Friday showdown with Oklahoma City, the second seed in the tourney's Cramer Bracket and winner of a first-round game earlier Wednesday over Mid-America Nazarene.

Montana Western's second-round game is scheduled to tip off in the Rimrock Arena in Billings on Friday at 10:45 a.m.
