Beavs outslug Corvallis, 19-11

The Dillon Beavers softball team came out best in a slug fest against visiting Corvallis on Tuesday.

With big offensive contributions from Kierra Tippets, Scout Voss, Erica Rude and Kylee Pittman, Dillon hammered out a 19-11 victory on the field behind Dillon Middle School, where Pittman tag-teamed with sister Adrianna to go the seven-inning distance on the mound.

The victory pushed the Beavs' season mark to 10-9-1 and, with one game remaining on the schedule, gave the young program the chance to record the first winning season in its history.

The Beavs can secure that distinction by taking that final game, which will happen at home on Saturday, May 20, starting at 1 p.m.
