Anyone wishing to gain votes as a write-in candidate in the upcoming municipal elections in Dillon or Lima must file to do so by the end of business hours on

Tuesday, Sept. 5. The form is available at the Clerk & Recorders Office in the Beaverhead County Courthouse, and will take just a few minutes to fill out. City Council seats and the mayor’s chair will be up before voters this fall in Lima and Dillon, as will the Dillon city court judge position.

Tuesday: Almost no chance of precipitation under partly cloudy but smoky skies, with temperatures rising into the low 80s in the afternoon, when light winds will shift from the southwest to from the northeast and strengthen to around 10 mph.
Tuesday Night: Light winds shift to from the south after midnight, with temperatures dropping steadily to just below 50 degrees by dawn and the chances of precipitation remaining near zero.
